Our Big-Screw tungsten syringe shields for 5 ml syringes are shielded with 2 mm tungsten, to provide excellent attenuation when working with Technetium-99m. The large screw on the back of the syringe shield enables the operator to easily and precisely secure the syringe in the syringe shield. To provide visibility of the syringe’s content, a lead glass viewing window with a density of 5.2 has been integrated into the syringe shield design. The Big-Screw tungsten syringe shield has been designed to be able to be placed down onto a flat surface without tipping over. Anodized aluminum has been used as finishing to provide sustainability to heat, easy decontamination and easy cleaning of the syringe shield.
